Each and every product provided by Altius Sports comes with a manufacturing warranty that is highest in its field of work. The life expectancy of a surface depends upon usage, number of hours of continuous play, size of field, sport being played, maintenance, and a host of other factors. Needless to say, all our products have the “highest in category” warranty.
You can do pretty much whatever you want with your surfaces depending on the size and in-fill factor - we’ve even had people cover their cars with it! However, rolling up and storing your surface is advisable when you are looking at golf mats and the likes thereof for then they will be easy to wind/roll and not heavy. Further, these are loose laid so the question of installation does not arise.
There have been a lot of recent claims regarding the safety, health and environmental issues associated with synthetic flooring which mostly concerns the raw materials used to make the product. It will be right to conclude that synthetic surfaces from Altius Sports are safe and do not have a negative impact on people or the environment.
We do not recommend driving vehicles on the synthetic surfaces but if you must, in case of emergency, then we suggest driving slowly and in straight lines without turning. In case you do turn, please have the radius very gradual as you do not want to tear the grass. Vehicles can be parked upon the artificial turf too, but please be careful of oil spills and other harmful stains .

Altius Sports provides maintenance guidelines for all playing surfaces. You should ask for a maintenance guide once your pitch is completed. Regular cleaning and level of maintenance and type of maintenance will vary depending on the trees around your surroundings for you may be required to blow off fallen leaves or, at times, spray for mould/moss in shaded areas, especially post the rainy season. However, all this depends upon the type of surface and the sport but largely, maintenance required is purely preventive or low. Our different surfaces require different footwear to ensure your pitch lasts as long as possible. If you’re unsure, click a picture of your boots and send it to us and we’ll let you know if they’re suitable for the given surface. We do have our patented XP products that are footwear friendly, so this is another advantage of going with TigerTurf.
For gym sled tracks, we would recommend a product made with a texturized, monofilament yarn like Advantage, Evo Pro or Trophy. You can additionally use a shock pad to engineer an even more relaxed experience.

Yes, TigerTurf has specially designed drainage holes placed consistently throughout the turf and in the case of all other surfaces water sheds quickly along the slope of the base and does not pool on the surface. Sub bases for sporting surfaces are designed to provide superior drainage properties as well. Most surfaces have a range of different colours depending on the type of surface you require. Options include olive green, forest green, light blue, dark blue, brick, red, yellow, purple, wooden finish, etc. This range of colours is based on our most requested and most popular.
The line-markings that mark out the various sports are tufted into the surface during manufacturing where possible. Otherwise, they are usually cut and glued during the installation process.
The turf is loose laid over the asphalt and glued at the seams, using a special seaming tape and 2 part glue and it could be directly glued to the surface around the perimeter. The turf is then generally in filled with sand and/or granular infill, if required, depending upon the product, to provide both stabilizing and performance support to the grass fibres.

We do not recommend hoovering your TigerTurf lawn as it will remove the sand infill, causing your lawn to go flat. Use a brush or a rake to remove any leaves or debris.

Once the grass had been installed, it should then be in-filled with the correct specification and quantity of sand/sbr where required and this depends upon the turf system that is being used and also the application of the same. Some of our products that are non-infill systems are ideal as they have very little load and, despite being non-fill, they are extremely durable and versatile and gives years and years of unadulterated sporting pleasure. Coming back to infill, the same is important because it provides weight to the carpet and helps provide support to the grass fibres thereby improving performance in wear and adding visual appearance to the lawn by keeping the fibres erect. Sand also acts as a fire inhibitor – and this is another plus!
The synthetic grass must be laid on a suitable base. This can be crushed rock, asphalt, concrete (porous or non-porous)or timber. The base should be constructed and prepared to ensure the grass is laid flat and looks natural and real.
